Emeril was on Sportscenter this morning and said that the Pope gave permission for the church in Jackson Square in New Orleans to take down the Pope’s flag and fly the Saints flag instead. In Rome, at the Vatican City, the Saints flag is also flying today. I don’t think you can get much more support than that!
We’re gearing up for our party tonight. The King Cake is baking and the beans are soaking. I’ll be posting step by step recipes and photos for both the red beans and rice and the king cake this weekend. Fat Tuesday is coming, so you’ll still have time to celebrate Mardi Gras and eat some good cajun food!
