My sister in law is a Spanish professor and she runs a study abroad program for the college that she works at. This summer, she is moving to Barcelona for two years with her family. We are planning a trip to visit them at the end of September, beginning of October. This will be the first time that either of us have flown internationally, so we are gearing up now.
We just booked our flights. We will be flying Southwest to Boston and then Boston to Dublin and Dublin to Barcelona on Aer Lingus. We were able to get bassinet seating for the transatlantic part of our trip, which will be great since TJ will be a lap child. There’s no way he will sit on our laps for a long trip and it gives him a solid place to sleep. Very excited about this.
The downside is that I did have to buy a new Blackberry to keep up with work. The Curve doesn’t work internationally, so we ordered a Tour today. This will give us unlimited data while we are away, which will be a life saver and really the only reason we’d be able to make this trip.
We will be staying with our family, so we don’t have to worry about a hotel. The next part of the trip to plan is to actually get our Southwest tickets to Boston and to plan a short side trip to Rome!
